.
This past weekend our denomination celebrated a major milestone in our history. We reached our 100th anniversary of proclaiming the message of HOPE.
We were reminded, from the words of the apostle Peter that we are:
A. A Chosen People
B. We are to be a Holy People
C. A Sent People
Our centennial celebration not only reminded us where we have comefrom, but encouraged us to do even greater things for Christ.
Two of my favorite passages in Scripture are found in Isaiah 42:9 & 43: 18-19 "See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you...Forget the former things do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!"
I wonder today if you need a new beginning. We all have made choicesthat in reflection wish we hadn't. But the good news of the gospel is we do not have to let the past dictate our future.
When we come to Christ we can have a fresh start.
